I don't wish to be pedantic but it's spelt reese and not reece, I wouldn't have said anything but everyone in this thread has spelt it wrong.

It makes quite a difference when you're searching the forum or googling for it.
|
that means the majority of members throughout the forums spell it wrong. which in turn then makes it right innit. oooooo mindfuck |
We could always ask Kevin "Master Reese" Saunderson (the bloke who invented it) how to spell it...

Thanks for all the info. So.... what i'm dealing with is a term used to describe a bass sound, but with as much meaning as a sub-genre of drum and bass. Example.. dark future overlord super dark step.
J/K thanks for all the help guys. its one of those sounds i've tried entirely too hard to fail at mimicking.

the reese is the sound the ends of baggy pants make when you stand on them, or get them caught in something.
during the course of a heavy nights drinking, my pants produce all manner of tearing bass sounds.
unfortunately i've yet to sample/distort/flange/resample/pitchbend any of them yet.
