the most important part is the distortion IMO. assuming you know the basics. compress before distortion and eq in-between and after for best results. tweak every unit at a time, don't go twisting knob madness
if you split the signal to bands you can then modulate each differently for a fuller sound

Why not use a different kinda bass sound? one that hasnt been used thousands of times? Reeces are tired as hell in my opinion. It seems that nearly every tune has a reece in somewhere. There are already loads of threads about this, so why not have a look see. Or just try something different.

So many posts and no usefull help
Reeces are overrated it isn't really hard to make them, basically all you need to do is to take two oscilators with sawwaves, and detune one for about 50 cents, with more oscilators and slighter detuning like 1 - 0 detune, 2, -20 detune, 3 +20 detune, 4 -40 detune, 5 - +40 detune, you'll get rather rich sound that you can work with, another posibility but a bit harder to do is to play with Pulse width [pw] of your oscilators. Another option is to have multiple oscilators, which pitch is controled via LFO.
If you are tired with saw oscilators you can try to heavily distort some sinewaves 808 kicks, and layer them on each other again detuning each other againts themselves. Play with filters, add some lfo control on it's frequency, be creative..

idd, but, if u do it with bad saw's it will sound like shit anyway
u cant polish a turd, so u need a synthesiser with good waveforms, or some great waveform samples
