ELLO AGAIN, I THINK I NEED SOME TIPS ON COMPRESSING MY BREAKS. I'M USING REASON 3 AND WHEN I'VE PUT A BREAK TOGETHER IT SEEMS THAT IT IS TAKING UP TOO MANY FREQUENCIES AND IS HARD TO GET ANYTHING TO SOUND RIGHT WITH IT. MY METHOD IS TO CREATE REDRUM. THEN CREATE A COMPRESSOR, EQ, RVRB, FOR EACH DRUM SOUND THEN ROUTE THEM INTO THE MIXER. I DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT SIDE CHAINING OR LIMITING AND I THINK I PROBABLY SHOULD. OFTEN IT SEEMS THAT I CANT GET NEW SOUNDS TO SIT WELL IN THE MIX, I'M AFTER THE SOUND THAT LEAVES MY BREAK CLEARLY AT THE FRONT OF THE MIX AND HAVE A HEAVY BASSLINE THAT DOESNT STEAL FROM OTHER PARTS OF THE TRACK. ALOT OF MY PROBLEM IS WITH EQ, ANY TIPS THERE WOULD BE GREAT ASWELL.

WHAT'S WITH TEH CAPITALS??
anyway try adding bass before you work on eqing and compressing your break. then add just slight boosts and notches with the eq
as for compression, always better when you rewire, you can do it in reason but its really incomparable to things like izotope ozone or waves compressors

im gettin good results by using a main kick and snare, and layering two break or more with a low cut ~500hz and the right compression of each break. lately i just adjust the asdr slope.

You might wanna have a quick look in the production=>reason forum here.
You'll find an explanation in how to sidechain (cuz in the case you described, it seems that this will provide you with a solution) Surya's post here
