Please check out my new track 'Body kit n alloys' and post your comments here!!!

HI
I have had two of my numbers deleted for not sounding enough like DnB.
If this is no good can I have a chance to get some advice?

listen one:

this sounds like its 135 bpm. drum and bass is generally between 160 and 180 bpm. sure. yes, technically, you are using drum and bass to make this track, but when it comes down to it, this style of music would be characterised as "breakbeat."

listen to some of the other tracks on this site. dont copy them, but get a feel for the tempo and the elements incorporated in their tracks. you will find that you have the drum technique and the fx down pat, but you need to increase your bpm significantly.

sorry i could not go in depth about the track itself

as a recommendation: if this is the style you prefer, try finding a site devoted to breakbeat. you may find yourself right at home.

peace.

Hi
I would like to make DnB and I think Im getting there but somehow I seem to be having a bit of trouble mainly because I don’t want to do the same old thing, I want to move on a bit.
But if someone knows of a site where I can post this track, then I would be verry geatfull.

I can hear some echos of dub drums, not d&b, more electro feeling I don't really like the drum pattern, the thing @1:50ish could be worked with to nice effect

Experiment with oldskool hiphip breakbeat loops. Chop 'em up, rearrange them, until you think you can jump around to it. Or you could use the bassdrum, snare, and bass samples from this site for a basic DnB 2-measure groove to build a track on.

Otherwise, go to DnB parties more often.

This is a good and original track: great beat, nice atmosphere. But it's true: it's not DnB, and I know I couldn't dance to it. This track would be a great track for a game, though, and I mean it.
