I'm now thinking of completely redesigning this page. There are too many tracks on one page, gonna split them up over multiple page. Also I guess it would look much better if each entry would get more space than just a single line, maybe do it more like this: quote: producer name - track name (rating: 4/5 - 2 reviews - 84 downloads) bitrate: 128kbps - length: 5:43 - filesize: 6.32MB - submitted on 5-1-2004 ...and put a neat little avatar sized pic in front, representing the would-be album cover __ If you find spam on the site, please hit the button and select my name. Still needs some work, have to juggle the items around a bit, add a couple of links like 'more info', 'other tracks by this producer', 'vote for this track' etc And implement 'album covers' that'll go together with a user interface for producers to edit and delete tracks + add some extra info about each track. I'll start working on some new shit then: - search function in listen page - voting function in listen page - detailed description of each track in listen page, with an album cover - automatically fixing MP3 tags, since most producers don't seem to bother entering info in them - votable 'track of the week' on front page - news on front page - producer pages (datasheets) BTW I fixed the problem that caused some tracks not showing up in the listen page (some database entries were gone prolly due to the MySQL trouble we had last summer when the forum crashed regularly) I also put in new sorting options in the listen page, as well as the possibility to chose how many entries you want to see on each page. I made my first 'commercial' site more than a year before I started this one I'm not doing many websites for profit, only 1 or 2 a year since I don't have a lot of time for it, but it's nice to earn some extra cash in a comfortable way (sitting at home with some good music on and a bottle of wine nearby ) __ If you find spam on the site, please hit the button and select my name.
