Thanks to all that took the time to review my last mix, really appreciated. This time im workin on a track as such, early stages, and only a few hours work. I like where the intro is heading, but a little unsure of the main drop so far. I chopped up a very basic structure and when i get the time will have to work the drums a fair bit as well as the structure.
As always any feedback is appreciated, made using cubas sl3, battery, kontakt, and massive thus far. Cheers legends!
Love the bass and bass melody got something good going there, yes the drop in needs a bit of sprucing and maybe some drum fills ( but dont take away how the drums mute out cos that sounds funky ) but part from that it was really good!!!!
First drop comes in quite late. Bass is too much "in your face" and dirty (you might want to cut the high end a tad). Ghost bits of the drums need to be louder. Snare drum needs an extra layer to give it more smash.
Tune lacks tension, nothing really happens.
Breakdown is very long and second drop is very late (4:02 in a 4:48 tune???)

Into is very cool. I really like that synth sound and etheral space sound. Drums are weak and need a lot more beefing and sound choice. Make that sucking reverse synth sound more prominent and effected. Drums could use another sicker thicker layer. I like the synth sound and they way it flows. Try using a different synth sound for the first measure and the same one for the second measure of the set, I hope this makes sense. Needs more FX's and variations. Make a second bassline that is just as sick and that it can switch into. I really like the idea here and I can tell then with some more work it will be a fly track. Mix isnt bad tho.
First of all your drums have no variations and sound somehow boring..the hi hats are bearly heard,so its not really interesting to listen 4 mins..Your bassline sounds kinda good but u need to clear it up a bit..the intro is too long for such a tune imo.Anyway if u rework it it could be a decent tune
This is my first review so i hope its helpful. I really like the eeire felling of the intro and the 2 beat intro works really well. At 1.41 the bass gets really dirty. and the hi pad accompaniment is good but its just stabs, If you busted some sick pads it would be awesome! at 3.02 it drops back to the spooky bit that i really like. The compression on the drums is very well done. This style really reminds me of 'simon v' that guys wicked so take it as a compliment. The only bit i would change is 1.41-3.02 maybe turn down or use a smoother waveform for the bassline and the hi pad stabs would be changed to hi chord sustains with a low decay. Massive props this track is well out of my production league!
