Hey, i love the vanguard vst but it got its disadvantage. Even without any reverb on, all the sounds coming out off vanguard sound like its played in a hall or so. Any tips to get rid of that? It sounds very unnatural. Btw, i think every vst has its unnatural sound; like absynth pads...; U eq it?

The reverb is switched off; the sounds are still too digital. What i do? Make them warmer with vstis or what? Dont u think that vsts have an unnatural sound.. Is it because we are using software? Midi is better?
Advice please.

vangaurd is class mate. its how you use it. the on board reverb and delay are a bit shit so turn them off and use something quality.A lot of the presets are very trancey, even more of a reason to make your own sounds. build a reese

yeah, vanguard shouldnt be underestimated, but idd i hate the toomuch trancyness of the synth; therefor its pretty impossible to build good reeces with it imo

midi is a communictaion protocole, not a sound generator.
as all generators, vanguards need to be tweaked, try to layer several waveforms, change the cut and type of the filter....
here are all presets i done with it

vanguard is one of my favorite most used synths for my tracks... its got some nice deep full basslines but yes tweaking it is a know how for this synth.. otherwise you get very trancey basslines... i mostly use it for wobbles and subs.. but i love the pads and efx kinda sounds you can create out of it just as much... its an alround peace of software...

what can help is getting the presets made by vengeance.. those are some good 'building blocks' and 'aids'.

those presets can be found here and around... if you really cant find it send me a pm.
