i'm actually starting building a synth to easily do basses for drum'n bass.

2 osc
1 filter + lfo step sequenced for ez wobbles
graphical ADSR control for filter and volume

it's really basic, don't use a lot of cpu and i have included 3 presets to test it quickly.

you can give it a try at this beta i build today:
tell me what don't work, what you want to be added and send me your presets

cool, where'd you make it? i say you should add a knob onthere called "sparkle" or "shimmer" and just say it add's transperency. people will use this becasue they swear they get a more transperent sound from this synth and this synth only by using that knob....

like the anachoic chamber plug-in.

looks like a good synth that if ou pack with some cool presets it'll rock. the lfo is helpful, nice templates.

Cool... willing to help to make this one a beast.

If you turn the RES to maximum the volume doesn´t seem to affect the sound anymore (ear damage!).

"Filter" is the cut-off? You should have a filter shaping tool for Resonance too...

Wobble should not only be fixed to the tempo of the track, you should be able to de-sync the wobble with a notch up or down to add that chaotic touch.

Add more basic waveforms, check NI´s Massive for inspiration. You could combine 2 basic waveforms (make them fade) to make your offered waveforms (so that´s actually a 2x2) making the synth way more interesting.

Add an "instant sub layer" function. Adds instant sub to your bass for maximum effect. This should be a sine waveform that is played in sync with the rest of the sound (also using volume envelope). Adding low end to it thus making it hum real sweet. Option to set the bottom limit of the sign (to avoid club rumble) would be nice. Some tuning possibility for the sub would also be nice.

Finetuning of a waveform should display its value so you can detune accurately.

Morphing between different waveforms would sure be a plus.

Some "instant hit"-sound functions would make it sexy (add some delay, distortion or filter movement, etc...).

okay, you know what, i think i will do 2 versions of this synth, one basic, like this beta, and one advanced with your suggestion.
so new producers will be able to do woblle quickly and advanced producer will do lot of tweaking as they like to do.
the morphing of waveforms is really easy to implement so expect to see it really soon and the effects to. i need mor practice to add resonance filter control and other detunes things...
thx for that reviews.
i made it with synthmaker (wich is full of bugs)

i'm making more presets right now and fixing some bugs.
when it's done, i start making a version more complicated with 2x2 osc with waveform painter ! morphing and a distorsion builded in Happy

also, i tihnk it's very good, specially for us FL users, if you use initials in front of the name of the .dll, just so all your plug-ins will be grouped together and easier to find. instead of just naming them whatever they are called, and then they're scatterd through the list. just naming them with a CH or something first, as a convention, will help organizaiton and identifying your stuff for other poeple.

i hate it when they don't do this. even wrose when they just call it "Graphic Equalizer" like i don't have any of them. AEU and PSP and Voxengo, and Fruity all have there names first. smart.

something i quickly threw together using this little beauty.
excuse the sound quality, as i did it in 10 minutes
(no processing, mixing or fx)

just used one of suroras breaks as the beat.

made five presets in this tester.

I lost 4 years of programming work about 6 months after coming to Spain due to the spanish electricity frying the computer to the point it started smoking.

Was without a computer for 2 whole years.

And the HD's don't work in newer machines for some reason. Frown

Damn thats rough. I'm gonna check it out right now, sounds real cool.

Look on the bright side: You've done your rough draft and learned from your mistakes. Now all you have to do is make a better synth. It probably won't take you anywhere near as long either.
