Please check out my new track 'The Funktopus' and post your comments here!!!
just another little experiment in the laboratory.
using fx like distortion, compression, reverb, etc.
a little jazzy tune with funk elements.
dont expect darkstep style variations, because its not the way for this style.
head-nod roller thing.
feedback from you mighty peeps please.
ta loves.

sweet as, didnt expect this naughtyness from ya! some catchy shit going on there, boppin my head lemme say. intro is a tiny bit cheesey - the crowd noises - even for my taste but the break before the drop is naughty. fukin lowd too - how u managing that? anyways lovin that double bass sample but it sounds a little empty just after that intro - on the high end that is. anyways yet another dance floor stomper - wouldnt expect anyting else.

Drumline sounds a bit thin. Did you put distortion on the drums?
The track then: It has it's charm, but I think it would do better with more elements going on.
Deff. Not bad though. The small pitch band in the trumpets (e.g. at 30") sounds like it is not intended that way.

There must be a better way to get that sample on time.
Maybe slice it and play the slices at the correct possitions?

Yeah, nice tune. Not totally my style but I can appreciate it and I still think it's cool. Catchy, different, a hint of cheese, and always fun. The beats sound excellent. The double-bass is really good - Roni Size-ish - but distorts slightly. Perhaps you should take out some of the low-end to stop it distorting, but still retain it's volume.
Anyway, nice one Seven!

cool brass loop, adds character, personally id only use it until the first break or filter it/fuck it up before the drop. drop is ok, bass sounds a little too loud on my setup (sine bass) mix is pretty good, drums are fitting for this style of dnb track. rock on seven gun.
