 How to make a decent bassline |

hi,
the last months i'm kind of going trough fruity loops, making some beats, putting in some samples etc
the only thing i don't really know now is how to make a decent bassline, and i mean a real LINE, not basskicks or whatever
how do i start with that? which plug ins do i need and how exactly do i create a flowing bassline

i kind of looked around but didn't really found exactly what i needed, i think these links you gave will fit me better when i now the bases of creating a bassline
my question now:
so you make a new channel and you put some synth in it to make a 'tone' and then distort it or what?
(like i said, i really don't know nothing of making basslines yet)

if you are on fruity.......
use the 3x osc.
its the best thing to start on.
i even use it now. fuckin brilliant, easy to use and versatile.
its in channel presets on the fruity browser.
you can also right-click any sampler channel and in the options,
it will say insert channel, press that and a list of tools you
can use for bass. 3x osc is in that list. there are other
synths you can get too. loads in fact.
practice your ass off with it.
if you still completely stuck after a while, PM me and i will give ya a few of my presets, cause i am so nice 
best to practice yourself first tho

you use the 3osc and use the phasing on it which kills the bass.

It seems like you are actually asking " how to write a bassline" ? " ....
If so, do you know anything about music theory? If so , then I suggest starting with the 1st, 3rd and
5th of whatever chords you may be using; in whatever key you're in.
If you know nothing about the basics of music theory P.M. me (or bump this ) and I'll do my best to help you sort it painlessly.

yes i know pretty much about music, followed music lessons and music history for some years, thx though

oh yeah, i forgot.
you could always download the bass samples on the samples page on this site.
add eq and fx and they are totally usable then.
