does any1 know where i can get some modern drum samples from? or have any they can share with me. all the 1s i have are quite old soundin and i want somethin a little more up to date, something more punchy and hard hitting.

layer ; filter ;eq (an repeat if neededthe ones u have ; like 3/4 of most people do that Big Grin

google - samples/samplepacks - download - place/cut - layer - filter -layer - equalise - ... -layer - final eq - done

The NI electronic drums 1 & 2 are both pretty good. But you are better off making the drums 'modern' yourself.

You can make acoustic drum hits sound very contemporary with some work.

- Layer
- eq each layer a touch
- maybe pitch each layer so they fit tighter
- play with amp envelopes
- resample
- rinse and repeat if nessacery Big Grin

I'll try to put up a longer post on how to make acoustic hits sound more like drums you would probably want in your track later, sorry but I don't have time right now for that.

NI is short for Native Instruments. I was talking about the Native Instruments Synthetic Drums:
