ok, so I just switched sound cards, from my M-Audio Audiophile to Emu 1212m. Thing about it is, when I start cubase it still looks to initialize the M-Audio ASIO and errors out and i have to close the program before it even opens. I have went into regedit and deleted the shit there, any more ideas, or would a fresh SX re-install fix this?

a reinstal might help.

did you not delete the drivers of the last soundcard before installing this one???
not a good idea

but is it not possible to set the soundcard before you open the program

Start>programs>steinburg>asio configuration

it may not be exectly like that but near enough

Thanks a lot man, I fixed it before I got the post though. Still appreciated.

I deleted the drivers for the card, and even went into reg edit, and it still wouldn't work. Then I did a reinstall and it still searched for them. So eventually I had to do a reinstall with the ASIO before I ran SX to fix it.
