Ok, I have installed this program recently and I have absolutely no experience with it. The question is: can I use normal PC keyboard or do I have to buy a midi keyboard? cos it seems like I am unable to make any sound with my keyboard. Please tell me what to do.
cheers

er, yep a midi keyboard would be a good idea.

Ditch it for something better, preferably something that lets you load vstis and has a high pass filter.
flstudio springs to mind, you can even use the qwerty keyboard to play it!

yes yes. but rewiring is easy and shouldnt pose a problem for beginners, its not exactly like theyre gonna have to learn the host software, just learn how to put fx on channels..
ups for hunting back my posts. lol do a bit more search and who knows how much crap youll find there

i dont know why people are hating on reason.
its kind of common opinion that fruity is shit. whatever u do with it.
reson gets a little more respect, not much. ive heard just as much shit music made from both of them, but again it comes down to your skill as a programmer. a good workman doesnt blame his tools an al that. tbh the only thing that sucks in reason is the sound bank (never use it though, make your own samples u lazy turds!) and the quality of the filters, their a bit lightweight, other than that if its rewired through cubase using the wavess ssl or nomad factory eq it sounds pretty feckin good.
maybe when u grow up youll get a proper sequencer.

reason is ok, more like a video game its fun and quick and i actually learned a fair bit about sequencing and synthesis from fucking around with it in my spare time. sometimes i do my high hat patterns in it and export them as audio or if i run something made in reason through a good hardware device the results can be rewarding. you dont need a controller You need to click the thing thats down by the thing an then pencil the notes in the thing with the thing.
i have only played with f l for a short mount of time and wasnt that inspired in all honesty.
different strokes diofferent folks
in an ignorant judgemental state i could say that fruity loops is shite but where would that get me
stand easy

I use Bomes Music Mouse. It allows you to use your qwerty keyboard. You need to download some drivers aswell and is a little complicated, but it does work. All is explained though...Good luck
