ok, i know what a reece is and how to make one (essentially) but my question for all the helpful people is: what could make this reece better? The link below is for a .wav of my reece made with Vanguard. Its the best ive done so far. What FX and EQing methods seem to work for you? can anyone explain resampling in reference to reeces. (several people have suggested resampling) I need to beef it up. thanks in advance.

Resampling a reece isn't mandatory! it is just a way to add more filters and effect to your sound and save some cpu. I don't do resampling. I just pass my reece sound through those fxs :
in order of chain :
lp->dist->br(notch)->disto->hp->phaser->chorus->comp->eq

When I am messing with a reece, I usuallly take 2 of the same. Cut off all his on one, and put dual low on the other, with some sort of distortion on both, i just use the tube setting and slightly tweak it out for the right sound. It tends to fatten it up, and get that more bass than synth feeling to it. hope that helps

Go with the z3ta, that one can make the sickest reeces you will ever hear!!!
You can go alot further with the sound than you can with the vanguard.
Try it you will love it...!!
