Nice job on the drums, they sound nice, nice equalizing, good remix, the only thing is that i cant find the original one. You say its a remix so, but i like it, vocals are very nice,...
Good job, youve become very far, since youre last song.
You made your beats with Acidpro, isnt it. Im going to get a copy of it. Are you prepared to help me a little, or introduce me to the programme

You need to master this properly...as for now the sub is pushing everything away.
Beat work is ok. Sample (i'm waiting)gets a bit boring....
But after all an ok tune..I like to hear it againwhen it's finished

alright, im gnan give it to ya strait... #1 im not a breakcore fan, so right off the bat i dont liek the drop...
and if you play the right root ntoes for the track you wont have to pitch the vocals... not sure why you did... also the set bpm for the original track is 170 bpm... so also you wont have to pitch the vocals if you produce at this bpm...
as far as the mixdown goes... the track sounds like donkey doodoo...
teh reece thing you got going is out of tune...(wrong note)
the bass tabs have gotten annoying real quick...
something you got to remember... and although i respekt your attempt at this remix, but when vocals like this are tuned to only a few notes, it makes the song monotome, making it difficult to do anything different with the song... so jsut find those root notes, and start over...
or instead of starting over just find those root notes, and instead of shifting to the next, go up or down an octave... that way youre not getting the "poppish" melody

See now thats a review
I totally respect everything u said. But see how it gives me a lot of things to look at when I am goin over the track fidigiting with things, instead of just saying I dont like it yadayadayada. Thanks alot for the indepth review I am gonna redo the track totally. It was just a thought, but I see it was a bad though
I will probably scrap all the noticeable elements for the remix and reowrk the track, and just start another remix. Thanks and Much RespeKt

yeh the mix downs messy.
what monitors and cans r u using? cause you need to learn them better, so once again i suggest you listen to some music through them with a flat eq and then compare, one good way of getting an idea if your pushing things to much is to use a spectrum analyzer (waves do a nice one, you can save the analysis of a pro track and then compare it to your own). If you played this on a big rig it would destroy the rig (NOT in a good way!!) and would sound a mess.
dont really like the style, but i wouldnt say it was breakcore either.
that vocal is dying for a trance and bass remix.
but can i be bothered......

Im using a set of jBL 4408s. They arent that good, but I didnt want to go balls out and get a really good set, when I started. My rents are getting me a lot of shit for school for Christmas so my whole setup will be different Dec 26th. What should I ask for in the means of monitors? I figured I would ask for Mackie's but I have no experience with any other monitors except for my shit jBLs. And I have to get a Apple with Logic Pro for school so what would run the best with that?

dude im a pc fan so dont ask me about macs. Any pc thats tricked out and set up properly will compete with a mac. Anyone who disagrees is just being a snob (although the thing about macs is that they r very stable), and as for logic, you can stick it up ya arse cause im cubase all the way. tbh i just hate the GUI of logic although it does seem to have a nice sound (maybe thats the audio archetecture but ive heard recently they actually run from the same engine, and its all about the plug ins u have)
im only using a 1.8ghz pc with 768mb ram but because of the way its set up and because of the way i mixdown audio i can get away with many many vsti and high quality fx, along with reason rewired on usually about ten stereo channels, and i noramlly end up with about twenty channels of audio. which is more than enough for what i do at the minute although i shall b bumping the ram up soon cause its starting to struggle with multiple instances of reaktor.
as for monitors. trust me you can get away with using the jbls. you just have to learn them. You will be a better engineer for learning your speakers, you just have to listen and look past the fact its a great tune, why is it a great tune? what have they done to the bass? what havnt they done to the bass? listen where it sits in the mix, listen to everything and compare it!
Personally if i had the money id go for some genelecs or maybe some of these http://www.thomann.de/gb/blue_sky_pro_de...artner_id=59917
but yeh mackies are very nice as well. but the same applies whatever you have, youll have to learn their sound and how to adapt your tunes accordingly, some people only use crap hi fi speakers but because they know them they get fucking wikked results.
oh and RTFM!!!! - it will show you the specs of the speakers, youll be able to see where the speakers are boosted/cut frequency wise. for example i used to have a pair of ns10m and they r boosted slightly in the mid range so i knew not to over do things in that area.

Thanks for the help. I just started downloading a shitload of songs to listen to, and I unpacked my Waves bundle spectral analyzer. But about the Apple with Logic Pro, I HAVE to get it for school, that is what they use in the classes I am starting in Feb. So, its not like I like Apple or anything I am forced to use it, atleast for the class, I may just go back to the setup once I am done and I learn everything. I am currently using a 2.8g pent CPu, with 4 g RAM, so its not a bad little setup I got, and I am pretty comfortable with Acid Pro right now, so who knows, thanks for heads up on the speaker specs, hopefully they will be of some use, cause I got my jBls used on eBay so they didnt come with shit. Anyways, thanks again

lesson number one.
if your going to steal other peoples music. dont admit to it on a public forum.
personally i dont think that the major labels will ever get out of this cause they sell huge amounts in comparison to niche genres like drum n bass. But you should support your scene dont steal from the people that make it what it is.
some people will argue that its ok to download as long as you dont upload. but its bollocks really. cause most people on here would be the first to moan if their tunes were signed and then got shared.
lesson number 2
you are making music.
how would you feel if you made a killer tune, got it signed and then one person buys it and sticks it all over p2p. And then no one else buys it cause they can get it for free. You wont make any money which could result in not being able to pay your bills, it would mean the label wont make any money, which means they might not sign anymore of your tracks as the last one was such a commercial flop.

Oh Im not stealing it just listening, I dont spin the stuff I was downloading anyways. It was alot of Evol Intent, Noisia
, SubFocus, Dylan, etc. I was just using it for a basis to look at there spectrums. The music I love is Jungle, and u cant really use that for a basis, because there arent many Jungle producers that care about Mastering as much as the artist I was downloading do. No stealing here, just listening
Is that illegal? Dont I have to make money off of it for it too be illegal? Edit: Also, arent all of us on here sharing our music with one another, we upload it on to here, and people download it for free, isnt that the same thing?

er. well if your downloading it then yeh its stealing. its no different from going round a mates and copying it, the artist doesnt get paid. theres plenty of places you can hear tunes (online shops for example)
dude you should just buy some cds.

by the way those artists you mention probably dont master their own stuff. they program/write/mixdown the tunes but more than likely the mastering is done by pro engineers and is paid for.
hence why they sound so fucking fat.

Just know I do support the scene with EVERY record I buy which is alot. But none of which isnt Jungle though. Bah....no biggy, Im sure everyone on here is guilty of downloading something to listen to, but in doing so I realized some tracks I am gonna buy. Evol Intent - Corrupt Cops (Noisia RM
is the shit. See so in people downloading things, they see something they really like, and they buy it. Its just hard for me to spend money on stuff I REALLY dont prefer. So ur saying u never download anything ever? Cause I usually dont, until the whole study spectrums convo happened
