Battery
Kontakt
Intakt
Spectral Delay

i know this may be a dumb question for some. But I was just curious. RespeKt

Read this. Try the first page of each of those program's fine help functions. Use a thing called google, or read the quotes below.

REAKTOR 5: NI's modular sound design studio allows users to design, construct and edit their own synthesizers, samplers, drum machines, effects, sequencers and more. Includes an extensive library of finished instruments.

KONTAKT 2: Powerful and extremely versatile sampler with the highest ease of use, a huge range of functions, and an extensive instrument library. Loads all popular sample libraries.

BATTERY 3 is the fast and effective drum sampler for creating tight and punchy drums. BATTERY 3 has access to all popular sound libraries, and more than 12 GB high quality samples divided into over 100 kits are already included.

NI-SPEKTRAL DELAY: This extraordinary effects software allows you to invade the frequency domain itself, with up to 1024 frequency bands that can be individually effected, resulting in some very unusual effects.

INTAKT Instruments
Another result of the cooperation between the world’s best sample producers and Native Instruments is the INTAKT Instruments Series: the perfect connection between drum and instrument loops and the outstanding high-performance loop sampler INTAKT. INTAKT Instruments outfits every musician and producer with an excellent loop library in a high-performance loop sampler that makes working with loops more flexible than ever before.

I guess they all do more or less what the promotalk says.

oh just a heads up.
ive read recently that if you buy a new NI product, when you register it it collects data to see if your other NI products are cracked and sends info to NI when you register. dunno if its tru or not but just something to think about.

Whether they can do that legally or not it's still lame, and I suggest to block the access to internet from your firewall to that program. Bitches.

you cant really blame a company from trying to protect their product.

when you register a NI product that you have purchased you have to either do it directly to the NI site. or e mail. or by phone or post. So blocking through your firewall isnt going to make any difference. although i would probably recommend that anyway.
and i think using your studio while being connected to the internet is a daft thing anyway if your using a bunch of cracked software

Yes, but I can blame it for touching my privacy. What I do on my computer is my private deal, don't you think?

If I download pirated software - yes. In this case I download from elsewhere, so I do join unlawful activities. But what I do at MY computer is mine, and that is not what some company should know. In any case, what guaranties that they don't collect some other informations about other products, in their hidden agreement with the companies involved? The EULA and their privacy code? Come on.

there is nowhere in the EULA you accept uppon installation (or very rarely), that you agree that the program will connect to the internet. it should be a choosable option. I can understand that probably there isn't any huge conspiracy going on, and they're gathering info mostly for future development, performance upgrading etc.

but all that could be done on an internet site where you would send some text-file export of a utility which analyzes your pc (something like directx uses) so I can actually see what is being sent

I say block them even if 100% of your software is legal

because they've got no right collecting and reporting ANY info without customers knowledge (which is exactly whats going on)

it is not mentioned what informations the program collects so you don't even know. could be your bank number ffs. they even got no right wasting your bandwidth and internet speed

Well, this is a bit arguable for they do, indeed, tell you that your programs will be monitored (one way or another)... in the way of those markings on cigarettes (smoking is dangerous, written with font size 6). Big Grin
