I agree what is said above. But i am not quite good at giving reviews espetialy when it comes to the bad ones. I just can`t say that someones track isn`t good just because i don`t like it! Everybody has its own taste and likes of music! So I in general give positive reviews , the only negative is when the song isn`t mixed as it should be or it isn`t arranged as it should be.

i'm all for giving reviews, but some people get angry when you leave them a review that's not praising them and points out mistakes and areas that they need to work on, which doesn't exactly make me wanna take the time to leave a review...

Indeed. It's a pitty that some people get upset when you carefully point out that their track is in fact complete crap. So again this advice
If you can't take negative reviews, don't post your tunes!!!

In the tunes section I give the thread rating according to the tune rating, in the other parts of the forum, I just rate the thread offcourse

one more thing.. it would be good to see who rates these trakcs cause theres lots of paradoxal figures.. this way it only says eg. "7.25 of 2 votes" but I guess its got to do with forum codes and stuff

There is a new, more advanced voting system in the works anywayz where you can rate things like overall quality, soundquality, originality, dancefloor quality and stuff like that...

What gets me the most is when people are quite happy to give a shit rateing but dont leave any reasons why. Sometimes wonder whether people actualy listen to the tunes or whether they just click on a number just to piss someone off.
If someone has taken the time to produce a tune and put it up for reveiw. then its only fair to spend the time to give a reveiw. Its no effort whatsoever. You can even do it as you listen, Everyone appreciates a reveiw and its worth bereing the the old rule in mind, Do unto others etc.
Just pisses me off when someone give a shit rateing and hasnt got the decency/balls to back it up with a reason.

I can take a shit reveiw. You cant expect nothing but praise. Nomatter how good youre tune is there will be someone who doesnt like it.
But a shit reveiw is better than no reveiw!

I dealed with this problem in a swift and efficient way. Everybody who voted for himself has his vote reduced to 1/10.

i have never been able to spend time whatsoever involving in editorial feedback or advice or opinions comment critic or comment on art cause i never thought worthless opinion or criticism was significant in any way having to do with the process of an artist his object of art and the expieriancee because i have a hard time dealing with people and there opinions on matters that dont require there opinions to serve the purpose and value intended. but i think i have started to see al little differentlt on the matter over the late. cause yes it would be nice to have peers of equal serve as to help you reach a desired outcome on the task and i think it might actually hlep relize things you might not haven hsit right?

well I understood the first part of your post, the second barely.. but, dude, what youre on??? offcourse there is an "artistic" side of the track, making music is art in the end.
but we're here mainly (I guess) to give views about PRODUCTION. the technicalities, you know how good the mixdown sounds, use of effects, etc etc. dnb being (again mainly) dancefloor music there is the dancability factors, how good the beats roll, the power when the bass drops etc etc..
so leaving the personal tastes aside gives the most objective reviews, although it is sometimes very hard to do because of great dislikes...
