As yet not mastered, but I believe the mixing is done. I'd like to get input on EQing especially and of course anything else you have to say. Made on my new studiomonitors (at last) KRK V6s. Sounding good on those. More of a traditional DnB track than i usually make (except for the trumpet).

Sorry for not reviewing much lately, hasn't got internet at home anymore, can't play DnB at the proper volume at the university (boring crowd).

the bassline has a potential to be huge, imo needs a bit more dynamics goin on, it's abit overpowering too

jeez that trumpet is playing a familiar melody

beats are cool but could do with a bit of layering up as they feel a bit bare (opposed to that mega bass)

its different. some really cool ideas for sure, thing is with that bass man, its too much. not all is in the type of monitor, theres the room reverb etc.. you prolly know taht but do a check

keep at it tho, use different setups to reference the mix

The breaks are very nice, but sometimes the kick is a bit distorted

Il like how you build up and swap your melodies, very nice shit you made here man!

But some elements in the higher frequencie area are missing, like an extra snappy hihat-roll or snare-roll once in a while...?
Or maybe a bit of extra hi-boost EQ on your leadsynths?

The trumpet-like synth does it very nice, but sometimes when it isn't playing the tune in general lacks a bit of mid-hi to hi positioned "sounds".

I think the overall sound quality of the tune is a bit low, maybe u can clean that overwhelming reverbed bass a bit up

And I'm also a big fan of the Lo-Fi synths Big Grin

@ Cynik, yeah, the room sucks ass, nothing more I can do about that I'm afraid.

This track rolls!! It is well composed and has good build ups with the drum work. Totally takes you somewhere if ya get what I mean. The bass lines are also well structured but do sound grainey. Clean those up and you have one hell of a strong track!! The trumpet kinda got on my nerves but just b/c of its root key. If not at such a high pitch it would sound better IMO....All in all I thing you really have a great track to work with, hell if it was mastered better I would totally drop this one on the masses... Big Grin

Thanks dude, I'll try to work some more on the bass, but I kind of like the trumpet as it is. Gives the track the o so important and very necessary bizarreness.

On my speekers, it sounds perfect, but my speekers are not perfect. I don't have a sub-woofer, for example. But, I think it was a great track.

Hi man,

Intro kinda abrupt and simple but it certainly got potential, drums not bad but bass is too much and drums get to much on background i think, so or increase your drums or decrease your bass (I'd go for the second option) , nintendo sound is nice Tongue

good melpdy and good in-track-fixin, not too loud or too sharp, nice. Rhytms of drums are also good, although you could put some more power on the drums, make them bang and roll more, high long trumpet(I think) at 3.30 I don't like, I wouldn't put that in, too sharp too, I think, outro is not bad what concerns the melody, but other sound and an octave lower would strenghten it I think,

overall damn good job but pay attention to your EQ-ing and sound-picking!

very ,very ,very good beat,hard ,good sounding.Bass also very nice ,trumpet - too much trumpet Wink

hehe,i think trumpet from 1:27 this "pitched" one it not match the tempo Smile

i think you should change that ,put different instrument there ,something,i don't know,Generally tune is wicked ,good "pad" from 2:18 nice modulation,i dont really like those all "8bit sounds" some one said "nintendo" sounds,but thats your vision and your project.Very nice man.
