New drum and bass releases on Digital Tunes this week...

First up some dirty dancefloor beasts: "Moving Higher Remixes" by Contour with remixes by Muffler and Basic Operations and "Jackal / Into The Night" by Tunnel Vision/Unknown Error both out on Cymbalism. Then "Power to Distort / Motherfucking Skulls" (what would their mothers say about this huh?) by Counterstrike & Eye-D with some more nosebleed-inducing action.

More dancefloor rollers in the shape of "Outsource/New Deal" by Noisia & Phace / Mindscape on Syndrome, "Weight Watcher/Stay Young" by Agent Alvin and Afghan Headspin out on Gain, "The Rush/Hawaiian Snow" on Crossfire recordings, and "Winding Down/Copantl" by Chino (won't make a bad joke here...). And check out the "Endangered Species (part 1) EP" from Black Sun Empire

Next onto some jazzy/soulful tinged bits for you... from Midnight Sun, fresh out of the frozen climes of Finland, the new single "Soulbox / Wish Upon" from Physics and LAOS. Then from UK more liquid things from Soundclash with "Magic Rhodes / All Night Long" (all night long doing what eh?) out on Outta London, and from Hold Tight/Scheme & Mark Frequency "Gemini / Now" out on Bounce Records. The first side of "Still U / Stagger" out on Celsius Recordings is a pretty liquid affair too, with some dub-tinged dancefloor business on the flipside.

Finally some old-school vibez on the "Plight of the Innovators (Cartridge Remix)" out on Basement.

Some nice new drum and bass bits this week. From Cybin's Lockdown label some propa UK style bizness on Black Widow / All Junglists, the a-side has a bit of a old school feel, but in a good way, and of course the Cybin track is well worth checking out. This release has been getting lots of dj attention from around the scene. Then from Ohm Resistance we got a nutty release by Silent Killer in the form of Orgy / Sovereign (sorry not available in North America). Truly fucked up beats, fat basslines and weird ass samples, wicked. From Dj Fatal we have some more beats to totally mash up the dancefloor on 100 Years / The Hunt. 100 years has a wicked bassline, destined to fuck up your speakers Tongue

For those of you with a bit of a taste for the liquid stuff grab yourself the new Citrus release Macros VIP / Runaway by Falcon. Nice thoughtful tings on the a-side, then the b-side gets all deep on your ass, reminds me a bit of that Digital sound from a few years back. Continuing with the liquidy flavours more bits from Electrosoul System and J-Cut in The Beginning / Come Around. The B side by Electrosoul System will no doubt be what fans are expecting, and the A-side aint half bad either.
