Please check out my new track 'Malicious Script', post your comments here and vote for it!!!
Wow, I have not been here in a while. There are some great producers here - I am glad I got the email about the 4th B-Day (grats to all)
This tune is called Malicious Script. Just finished it a few days ago. The beat is my favourite part. Though I have heard variations of it, mostly from Digital, I toss some extra shots in there to keep it interesting. The EQ levels took a while to get sorted, and that still might need work, but the tune is done enough to be heard
Hope you enjoy it. I accept any and all feedback - so help a brother out
Now than I have this site on my Favourites, I can work on my Reviewing Skills.
Cheers Turnstyles,..nice to have ya back in full
,...man your tunes packed with loads of energy,...full on ripper
,.....more delay's like you did at->3:33 would ad to it i think,..mixdown sound's fine on my end but my setup's had mixdown problem's lately,...so i won't get into detial on mixdown stuff,...anyway,...huuge beat's at->the very end where soundin heafty,...id forshure put those in the tune more,...some great ideas in this,... and as i said it's full of energy,...tight production on that,...enjoyed it,..cheers .
Equipped, thanks mate. good feedback about the delays. I felt that I should have make more edits all around, so you have reinforced that. Props.
Hey Cynik, you make sick tracks man, your feedback is appreciated. What do you mean by "change the beat when it drops?"
Should I use different shots? remove the quick kicks at the beginning? I am a little lost there... especially since the main beat plays for 21 seconds before the drop
.. I agree that it can be better. No denial there.
I think the bass peak is actually static from when I do quick slides on the synth line. Moments before you actually hear it, its super deep and kinda fizzles as it slides up. You have good ears though, so but I will look into that.
Both of you deserve serious thanks. I was hoping for tangible feedback, and that is what I received (after Cynik's answer of course.)
well the beats in the intro are the same when it drops, which takes out possible impact the drop could have made.
as for the bass, I like a bit of dynamics going on so maybe you can just turn it down a notch and put just a tad maximizing/limiting on it
the bass sequence isnt my bag, too sudden extreme note changes but I feel editing the drums to accompany those shifts could be good, some snare rolls or whatever..
Build up at the beginning is pretty frantic which sets the scene for the rest of the track as well. at around 0:40 u should have a much long pause before u bring the beats back in, sounds a little too sudden and doesnt create enough suspense.
Bassline is pretty cool - didnt like it at first but it grew on me, I agree with cynik, u should maybe turn it down a bit or whack a limiter over it.
like the hoovers and reese, definately adds the overall atmosphere of the track.
