Cubase on a Mac is great IMO opinion (tho I use like version 1 Huh )

Quite stable. Never used Logic so I cant compare the 2.

I got both Cubase sx and logic 7 and in my opinion logic is far the most user-friendly sequencer. but its a matter of habbit I guess. nevertheless any of those rewired to reason makes you god!!!!!

no shit

I have been using sl3 on a g4 powerbook, and have mixed emotions. My music partner (and brother) runs the same setup on a windows based laptop (same vintage), and,he can run more softsynths and plugins at the same time without dropouts than me. But when I plug a controller keyboard into his setup the latency is unplayable! With the mac, I have to bounce a lot of my midi to audio to run more than 3-4 softsynths, but the latency is perfect. I have gigged many times with cubase/reason running and playing live legacy cell synths etc without no problem on the mac, this i could not do on windows based system, although I can run more on a windows setup.

As for logic, I started sequencing with the first version of nuendo (on a pc) by the time I got into macs, I did not want to change from the gui I was used to,even though logic is "taylor" made for macs (I hear it runs far more efficiently) I did not want to go through the learning process again.

This is and has been a lengthy debate on many forums. My advice? stick with what you are used to, if it aint broke, dont fix it, if you can work with what you have and create the sounds you like then definitely stick with it. I mean at the end of the day, its the stereo mixdown we crave!

cool, we have been working with a young australian mc, who does some great original sounding hip hop, definitely not your norm, were working on transferring that energy to some drum n bass tracks so I will be sure to post some on this site... but they are works in progress so it could be a few months.
