Yo yo. you get yo be my first review since ive come back to the site.
i cant do the Vote thing because any time i plug headphones into my pc speakers, i get this crazy air sound the distorts everything =(
1st listen:
good echo on the drum beat. almost an atmo feel a gwon.
drop - the hats seem to be clashing. maybe that was intentional. i have a record by Tactile on Timeless Recs called "Spaced Out' that has staggered hats like that, so who knows...
I can feel the subs backing up that synth sound and that is helpful. DnB sans subs bothers me. seems like a redundancy, ya know
coming into the middle breakdown. that echo seems to be universal, like you just echoed your main channel and called it good. i would recommend looking into variating that. also, i could be dead wrong - that is why i listen to tunes twice.
second drop is more of the same - especially with those clanging hats.
i like the atmo tear down at the end with the filtered sub kick.
2nd listen:
slid drum beat. i like the echos up until the main hats kick in. but at the same time, the snare could stand for more punch, maybe a little snap to it, so that the echoes create more body for the track.
ok, at the drop again. i am convinced that you did an echo to the whole tune and not just the beat. those clanging hats need a support line or something
as opposed to most tunes, where the flow builds up to the middle breakdown, this tune seems to peak at the drop, then tear itself down until around 2:20 when it builds up for the break. seems backwards.
here we are at the middle breakdown.
i like the ambiance. all around, i think you did a great job on the ambiance sounds, just went a little overboard on their presentation.
ok, im going to let the tune play out while i finish with my current train of thought. first things first, i want you to understand that what i have to say is 'feedback' so remember, as you read this, i am on your side and want you to get better... ready?
i think this tune is one-track minded. from beginning to end, it does pretty much the same thing. the intro sounds like the break sounds like the end. in the case of a Roller, i dont mind as much, but this tune is obviously trying to be atmospheric, so the lack of variance takes away from the effort you put in to this.
recommendations
1) be selective with your echo fx
2) focus on creating a counter melody that you can fade in leading to the break, that way as the tune works into the second half, we still here the same sounds, but they come at us from a new angle.
3) play with your drums more. i think it is essential that you make as many edits to your drum loops as poosible, that way you can 'garnish' the tune.
i think you started this track on the right foot, and then were so happy with it that you just ran with it. there is nothing wring with that. and to be honest, my feedback is entirely my opinion. so take it with a grain of salt.
but more importantly, keep working on the beats, keep pushing yourself to come up with newer and stronger ways to express yourself. and above all, have a good time.
hope this helps. Peace.

man, thank you for this looong looong review! and itwill help me, you have the same remarks as i... but that echo stuf.. i didn't use any echo.. in my song but still it's a ruff diamond, it takes a zillion of hours for me to make a tune because my fruity is kindof a tripper... i cant listen to my track when i'm working on it i always have to export it... to listen to it... when i listen to it in fruity it's all clipping, when i listen to it in mp3 it goes normal... don't know what causes this but it sucks big time...also the exporting takes up to 45 minutes... that sucks too... even in the lowest quality.
but i'll get on this ASAP.
again... thx for the review
