Ok here it goes. I hope I am wording this correct. In everyones opinions, when making music. Do you base sounds and such on the break. Example: If it is a simple two step break do you make up for the lame break with more complex sounds, and vice versa. Say in a Jungle track do sounds not matter as much since the break is so complex. I hope this makes sense. I would really like to know what everyone thinks.

I think I get what your saying, Odd question. Good one though.

I think I do the oposite from what you describe. I prefer to have complex noises and arrangements with complex drum patterns, full on madness I guess. But when Im in a chilled out mood I just write simple drums with simple chords structures and arrangements. I think it can work nicely to contrast complex drums with fairly simple melody and chord structures but IMO it can cause the energy of the drums to be lost. Havent really tried simple drums with really complex melodies and bass tones, hmmmm.
