it depends on your needs. Toxic 1,2 or 3 is great for pads, atmospheres, strings, even drumnbass type of sounds.
Novation bass station for what if not for basses.
z3ta, albino, and hydra...mmm...well by my opinion are the worst s*it i have ever tried...very simple algorithms inside the code of the vsti and standard effect alghorithms that every beginner is using to produce vsti...simply bad...(no offense).
But i suggest you to use the synths in Reason 3.0 and you will compensate nothing for them, believe me.

#1 youre wrong there... z3ta (perhaps not albino or hydra) but z3ta is one of the best sounding soft synths on the market so if you cant recognize that then you obviously dont have very good ears...
#2 the synthesis in REASON has a very cheap sound and unless youre very knowledgable of hardware synthesis its quite useless... not to mention almost all the really good sounds out of reason are re processed through sound forge or wave lab... and re ran into logic or cubse... NOW not saying you do that.. or others HERE on this site do that... but thats why MANY people make fun and discourage the use of reason and or fl for that matter...

z3ta has one the best virus-sounding patches. well not counting powercore on this one
and yup, Reasons synths are cack. Maelstrom is not that bad and I heard quite a few decent sounds being pulled out of it...
but yeah, i fyou wanna get anywhere with Reason, you gotta rewire..

look... if you are sucked down by downloading a vst synth...vst plugin...vst this...vst that...vst sh**... you will see a bunch of vsts in your hard disk and by ocasion or selfconduction everything can be great. DnB can't be looked from a synthesizing aspect bcoz of it's simpleness in synthesizing the pad or bass(two sq or saws and that's it), DnB must be observed from the aspect of building great percussive or synthesized rythmics. That's it yes really!!!!!
