How do Noisia create that sharp grainy bass they use? On tracks like Meditation, Infection and Defrost. It's sounds to me like they use multiple filters and automated phasers etc but i cant seem to create a bassline in this style. any ideas?

Well I know they have long sustain. And probably dual low pass filters. But I can almost guarentee they made their basslines on the korg polysix or legacy. So you wont get the exact sound unless you know exactly what they do. You can duplicate almost anything with the korg legacy VSTi though. Hope that helps

real tight envelope's using filter, velocity, phase, ect. on a massively distorted/eqed/processed a million times bass sample simular to a dist 808,...thats the closest ive ever got,..but to actually get that real mid sorta grain that there able to easily make is beyond me,...it sound so dam good,...it's forshure my fav bass ever made in dnb.

i was reading an interview where it said they use lots of things for their bass sounds.

one one of their tracks they said they used the sound of a pressure hose they cleaned thier windows with!!!!

hearing noisia tunes keeps me interested in drumnbass, coz thats what their music is to me - drumnbass, not neurotechofunkadelicstepperhardcoredarkintelligentjunglenuskool..


respekt to the 3 headz that make that sound

what was that comment about them using things lying around like a hose or sumfin, hehe cool, thats inspiration

Not very easy to produce Noisia style drum'n'bass. It's not my style, i'm more in cause4concern stab style but I gave a try :

Yeah the oplm one is WAAAAYYY over board its not really sharp sounding if u know what I mean. But it is way better than my attempts at it.

jus got the albino 3 with all the noisia presets (fuckin quality, quality synth), gonna have a look at them closely at some point, should help some with tryin to get that noisia stylee bass.

i was watching an iterview with them and they mentioned the albino patches.
they said they are nothing like that sounds they actually use because they do sooo much resampling and processing after the initial synthesis
