This is something a friend showed me a while ago, its taken a long time to figure the rule, but I didnt half kick myself when I did finally work it out.
Its one of those ones where you dont have to be particularly good at maths to do.
I thought I'd share this the rest of you, see if it is as hard as I thought is was.
What is the next number in the sequence?

Well, it's the way you look at it, I find my solution nicer 
(and from the first 4 numbers in the sequence it is not clear wich one of the two possible solutions is correct). |
it's perfectly clear what solution is next 
. and lol maybe your solution is nicer to you, it's not correct
