intro soundin cool (percussion massive Bigup )

drums got nice arrangements ; but to tend to lack power ; there almst no kick ; fix it !! Wink
that reece also is a lil bit to loud (nice reece tho ; what u made it on ??)
with the right leveling / eq this could easily be a smasher
keep dem worx up

yeh I agree with baz. nice little track but the beats lack some power. really nice sequencing overall, pretty original stuff

the reese is a basic malstrom/combi patch that i use as a base then alter fuckabout with on a per track basis.. changing things like the filter cutoff, lfo modulation.. and effects..

i agree that the kick has a little less power than it should .. and thats always a problem i seem to have.. any tips on that would be very helpful.. Smile

ill check this out when i can download it, but...

i find to get the phat power kick, you need to layer a few kicks... like a subby sorta kick, a hard punchin kick, and whateva else u need. then compresses the drums together and eq em...

you compress the drums so you can push the level with out it clipping (therfore getting them louder(yeah people???))

I went back and checked the song files.. i have A kick layered under teh original.. but i guess it wasnt enough.. i layered another one under it just now.. but now im having the ever annoying problem of the kick druowning out the bass... the reese was a little louder than necessary due to mixdown i think..

thanks for the tip tho anfo appreciate it..
now when you say compress are you talking compress just the kicks together or are you compressing the whole drum channel?

ummm i sometimes do all the drums in the one channel... then sometimes i feel like splitting the drums into 3 channels, so i eq em seperate... but i just use the same compressor for all the drums.

an add to this that u should make sure the layererd kicks (same with snares) are in tune so it ain't all to obvious that it's a layered one Wink
+leveling is more important then eq : once the levels is right the eq is lot's easier already Big Grin

^ yeah try n get the levels right...

onto reviewing this tune...

cool intro... like the old skoolish type synth.
the reece is cool... the percussion could probably use some down tuning.. or some reverb maybe.
the vocal fukarounds are nice.... the mad bass/guitar hit thing is phat.
the drop is nice... but yeah as these guys said; just needs a bit of work on levels n eq...
the arrangment of drums n stuff is good...
the basslines could do with a change up... they get a bit repeatative.
the break down is cool... drops back in nicely.
some big reece change up would be sweet... like more complex evil riff.
sounding cool though man... keep working it.
