hello DNB.be

been a while since i posted a dnb tune on here, i've been making breaks for the last couple of months.
mainly cuz i was feeling ininspired with my dnb productions. Big Grin

but i had a fuck about the other day and this is what was made.

made with reason 3.0

been fucking around with sidechaining recently and using a bus compressor on the beats.

as always any and all feedback welcome. be it good or bad
i'm a big boy i can take it Big Grin

kick miight need more lo-end. bassline is cool. tune might need more drivin elements imo. a second bassline to combine with or something. mix is pretty nice

dont really know what to do.
there is 2 baslines working off each other at the moment and i cant fit anything else in that sounds any good.

that snare just doesn't fit like it's off key with the rest of the track

I'd turn up the strings a whole lot more, just to give boost the emotional side of things. there are some more issues with levels too, I can barely hear the squelchy synth which goes off every 4th pattern. maybe those pompous drums are taking it all away. and the trancey synth, have you tried up an octave?

oh, apparent laziness in the drum department. nothing unexpected though Big Grin

the vocal sample is good but nothing special about it.

IMO this needs a harder, lower bass which would push the track as opposed to the few squelchers you got going on. maybe a subby hoover or something but not an agressive reece, this simply isn't that kind of track

you would have thought I hate it already but I really do like it. it's a pretty good basis for a good rolling 2 stepper

I'm gonna check the breaks tunes later on today, I'm already late for work Shocked
