I just got Reason 3 and I dont see how most people use it. It's not very user friendly imo. I guess I'm just a simple dude. :teef: but I like being able to use things without reading the manual or taking a course. I got frustrated trying to make a simple beat..... I think I'll stick with FL.

i know what you mean. when i first tried reason i had no other software so it was a case of sticking at it

4 years later and now i'm pretty pleased with the results i'm getting from it Big Grin

yeah but whats the nig deal with vst if you can get good results with whats in reason?

yeah the fx aren;t great and you are limited but this is how you learn your tools inside out and start getting the best from them

I was using Fruity but I prefer Reason as I hate the FL layout. I still use VST's but with a rewire client that can use VST stuff.

Reason is hard to use?? man.. i couldnt think of an easier program.. FL is a little bit intense im learning this one now.. but mostly i use it to make samples right now. hehe

i used both reason an fl ; got pretty decent tunes out of both of em but with reason i can never make the insane shit fruity allows me to Devil

what amazes me that there exists some sort of rivalry between FL's and Reason's users which is absolutely nuts. both programs are very different and almost all functions operate in a different manner.

and why not use both? Reason can be easily rewired to FL unless you consider that blasphemious

not that i can see... i tried unsucessfully for about an hour to get the shit workin right,,! any ideas???

nah that's cuz i've worked with fl since version 2 (wich was mainly just a sequencer ; good for makin some hardcore) an whenever something was new in it i got te learn it right away;
then i got reason an it just didn't feel right Big Grin

nah it's understandable ; reason users were always tryin to downgrade fl up until v4 or 5 i think) an then they suddenly sopped when they saw people runnin FL gettin signed an stuff ;
