yo. Does anyone know how to isolate vocals off a riddim? im tryin to stick a hip hop vocal over a drum n bass tune, ive timestreched/condensed, but the snare off the hip hop choon is really pissing me off.... I think there are special software packages for this?
btw I have eq'd but that is obviously limited cos your eqing the vocals at the same time

how would you go about phase inverting it? in cubase preferably...

do a search for extraboy.. its a vst that can isolate TO AN EXTENT the vocals.
creative eqing and some phase cancellation will probably still be necessary.
