Hi guys,
I'm trying to get the bass and the kick to sit correctly in a track but dont know how to do this.
I use redrum and map each pad to a seperate channel on the mixer, then route that into the main mixer. How do i get each drum track to sit in its own space?
At what frequency should I cut the kick. I've read somewhere that kicks should be rolled off around 80hz and then the space beneath that should be used for bass.
Is this even possible in Reason? as the PEQ-2 unit only seems to allow you to reduce in a certain frequency are instead of being able to compltely kill beneath a certain frequency.
I hope this makes sense?
thanks

i'm using version 3.
Is Adobe audtion similar to soundforge?
Is it better to EQindividual drum hits in a wave editor before loading into redrum then?
What about if i'm using subtractor for a bassline how would i go about cutting/ boosting a certain frequencies.
This might sound like a daft question but why does subtractor only have a mono output? Should bass always be mono? no matter where its coming from i.e NNXT, NN19?
thanks

yeah the eqs wont cut completely. If you only use one or maybe two, but if your CPU can handle it just use multiple Eqs till the unwanted frequencies are audibly gone, and one more for good measure. Thats what I do.
