I hope this will greatly increase the number of votes that are given for each track. There have been some minor fixes too and I did a thorough cleanup of the code. Attention: at the moment there is a bug in the code that makes it impossible for producers to download their own tracks!! You get the message that you are trying to vote for your own track, even if you are simply downloading I know why this is happening, it is a side effect of merging the vote and download scripts. Unfortunately I have no time to fix it today, I really need to sleep now!! Don't worry, everybody else can download your tracks without problems, if you want to check simply log out and try to download I have gigs from tomorrow until sunday night but am free on monday, so I'll fix it on monday and do some more work on the page too. __ If you find spam on the site, please hit the button and select my name. So if you enjoy reading a thread, rate it high - if it contains loads of crap, rate it low BTW the merging of the vote page and downloading seems to work really well! If all is well you should be able to log in and out in both the forum and producers page with the same password, and this should be shown in the voting/download page too. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. log out of the forum so you are logged as guest user. 2. go to the Tunes page and click on the [vote] link of a tune you haven't heard yet -> the vote page appears with the 1-aspect guest vote for that tune and Opera caches this page locally. 3. go to the forum and log in. 4. go to the Tunes page and click on the [vote] link you clicked in step 2. 5. a locally cached version is shown, so you get the guest vote page instead of the member/producer vote page. There are two solutions for this: - click the 'Reload' button (or press ctrl-R) - go to Tools > Preferences > History and set the 'check documents' option to 'always'. All votes are stored only once so multiple votes by the same guest or member are not counted, and a median average is calculated to prevent people from cheating. Unfortunately the median average only works when 3 or more votes have been made, so I am planning to display the rating only for tracks that have 3 or more votes. We have to wait a bit for that to happen though, since most tracks that were uploaded before the new voting system was activated have less than 3 votes and would lose their rating. __ If you find spam on the site, please hit the button and select my name.
