Anyone kno where i can download some free space samples, i.e. astronaut talk, spacey atmospherics etc. I've tried looking on google and can't seem to find any good ones,

Maybe you could try the same trick VJ's use for realistic space footage: www.nasa.gov. Loads of pictures, video's and animations there, probably also sound files.

After reading this yesterday I also checked the European Space Agency ESA website. The media on the site are not as organised as on the nasa website, but you can also find a load of nice space movies, animations and pictures.

If I'm not mistaken, the hubble space telescope has some sensors that work in the audible frequency range. But I suppose they register electromagnetic waves on those frequencies, and not pressure waves as there is no medium for those in space.

Sound is NOT caused by electromagnetic vibrations, it is caused by mechanical vibrations creating fluctuations in the pressure and density of the air, but this is going a bit offtopic...
