OMG!!! I found a monster synth at work today which is presumably called the 'Oberheim Expander' it's a huge modular analog synth from around the early 70's consisting of 3 large suitcases and a mass of flat cables connecting them. When I asked my boss about it he said that the thing got dumped in a 'stort' somewhere and that he got it for free from someone who found it in the 'stort'!!
The machine looks like it is in good condition and according to my boss it is a VERY rare item, and I'm pretty sure it will sound marvellous. I'll take some pictures of it next Monday (have to leave in 15 minutes to work @ Golden Years in Marche and Antwerp and I won't be back until Sunday) and hopefully take some samples too
Incredible what some people throw away, I'm sure the synth is worth over 10000 euro. Oh well let's get rid of this old junk

This is the one, but there is another box with it where you can patch the bits together in true modular fashion
Oberheim 8 voice
Hmm price is only around 1000-3000 euro

Damn the Oberheim has been sold to someone in the UK
(
We now got a Rosendahl Nanosyncs instead, but that's a bloody boring piece of gear
Some new arrivals: a Lexicon PCM60 and a couple of old Roland tape delays (Space echo or something)
