in the browser, click on 'modules' (next to files, database,...). then click on 'modulators', then select 'lfo'. select the lfo type you want (sine, triangle,...)
then drag and drop the selected lfo on the knob you want to automate, so the filter cut-off in your case.
from this menu, you can drag and drop anything
