i once broke my collarbone by jumping off the middle of the stairs at the age of 6, just after blowing out the candles on my birthday cake and then making my wish which was, of course, to be able to fly.
At the time i had like superman curtains, duvets, carpet, clothes, pillow cases like my whole room was a superman shrine and out of all the superhero films the superman legacy has to be the top of the list for me the whole of my life.
So when i heard about superman returns being made i was a little concerned as i immiediatly thought the film would be a shambles and do the much loved memoreis i have no good at all, but as it has unfolded imo- its appears as its gonna be one of the best film from this genre to come out for a long time and im going to see it 2moro morning in a quiet almost empty cinima.
I cant fuckin wait man, been looking forward to it for so long, and im going to see it with my brother which is cool
so whats peoples thoughts on Superman Returns, and the whole superman franchise thing anywayz
note: replyies attempting to 'diss' superman, will unfortunatly be taken outside and shot...

I'm not going. Never been a fan of the guy who wheres his underwear over his pants (red underwear!). He always knows what to do and never fails. BORING!
And I've heard the new movie is A LOT like the old ones, but with modern special effects. And it's a frekkin 2.5hs long! Nah, won't be wasting my time or money on that one...

i saw a small trailer of it where someone fires a bullet at supermans eye, and it bounces off. he sure is tough, that superman.
i always hated those films, i remember one where he catches all these nuclear missiles in a net and chucks them into the sun, and then, as an encore, runs round in a circle so fast he actually goes back in time 
but i might go and see the new one, because i was so pleasantly suprised by batman returns, which was kick ass and dont attempt to deny it

Yeah, that one was pretty good. But the review in my newspaper began with something like "unfortunately they didn't improve on the originals, like they did with the new Batman movie"...

My 13 year old sister, who is not very hard on movies usually, and who like X-Men and stuff though Superman Returns was stupid and boring. She said it was even quite funny (unintentionally offcourse) at times. She told me it was a waste of time and money. Now, if SHE thinks that, than I must think the same, only times 10

its one of those things that if you grew up with it you are biast about it, in my case im not totally judging the film as a film on its own, i am already a fan of the superman films from hen i was a kid so anyone thinkin i was going to watch this on the basis of this remake alone then you mis-understood.
i've seen it and yeah sure there were some awful parts that really were bad and even things about the original character line i didnt like that couldnt even be changed.
but all in all i enjoyed it and would never consider it a waste of money, some shit like fast and the furious or meet mr and mrs smith now thats a waste of money!!
anyway im glad i saw it on the big screen an i'll no doubt be buying it as soon as its out on dvd..
anyone who paid to see it and didnt enjoy it hear my sympathetic words:....
MUHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!
