Like in Pendulum - Fasten Your Seatbelts, any tips?

I hear some flange in it but thats about all I can recognise apart form a couple of saw waves?

i dunno what ur using. but try using an oscillator triggering/sync'd to a filter. reason does it very easily in the sample player an theres a million vsti which do something similar

Try adjusting the filter envelope. Start with a low-ish cutoff point then increase the level of the attack so you can hear filter start to sweep then add a little resonance - for bite/squelch.

Add some sustain on the filter and a bit of release on both the filter and amp so it tails off nicely and doesnt stop to abrubptly.

Dont set the attack level too high but just enough to get that MMWAP sound. Play around with all the envelope settings to get the sound just how you like.

You may want to add some EQ - to boost the bottom end as adding resonance will probably reduce some of the low frequencies.

Add further processing to taste.

Im not sure if its exactly the sound you were looking for - but I hope it helps.

I would cut the resonant mids and then boost the overall signal

ahh ok, good call - you'll get a tighter, less muddy sound that way.
