Please check out my new track 'Shogun' and post your comments here!!!
Tnx to Emblem-X for the bassline samples. This was intended to be a remix of his track Shogun, but not much is left.
This is one of these tracks I had laying around half finished (hmmm, not quite) for over a year and I spend 5 more minutes on it to finish it, so I can now forget about it
So don't expect fresh stuff or nice edits, I guess you might even find it rather boring.
It's got them old skool tramens going

hm the bass is pretty thin. too bad... lovin the bells and strings. the drop is kewl as well. some more work on the bassline and some drum layering would have make this a heavy tune.
nice atmo, your more tranzy background showing it's head here, melody structure gives a very strong melancholic feeling!!! phatness
drums in intro sound nice, not too full, ideal for mixing..
breakdown maybe 1 loop too short, but really like the drop...no variation just for the sake of it, but just when needed..
feels like an old dom n roland track (= positive comment
)
alright, melody's back==> very good structure...do u spin urself?
2nd breakdown==>better imho, drop sounds pretty much like the first one, which isn't necesarilly a bad thing, especially with this techy tranzy vibe going on in the track...
as a dj i'd use it more as some kind of transistion track, then a killer, but it'll well do the trick if ya ask me...
nice work!
ps: can't comment on mastering==>crappy bassspeakers here, but it still sounds pretty crisp

nice to see you back in action Surya.
Yeah, I've had a really bad case of writers block for the last 8 months or so
Now I've finished or semi finished about 6 tunes in 3 days
One of which most of the stuff was completely new. But you're not getting to hear thatone just yet. Only think I can say is that Soi found it to be FUCKING HARD

i dig the tramens...i dont care waht anyone says, amens and tramens are hot...
really dug the vibe on this one...
would be a great intro tune...or a nice filler for that transition between your frst and 2nd hr of djing at a show...
Hey Surya
INtro sounds a little "tinkly" for a dark track. The bass is killer and the filter twists at the drop are wicked sounding. The old tramens are a bit played but suit the rolling nature of this track - some parts with not much going on though like when the bass gets filtered out and again at about 4:30 (tramens are left on their own) in and at the drop out. I like the delayed synth hits. The second drop of the bass sounds kool - reversed the first part of the sample? Very heavy. Ya def. an older sounding track like you said - but still a nice roller.
Haven't seen you around reviewing lately
