I think the problem is with the settings of the character encoding. Your browser might be set to UTF-8 or something else. There's nothing much I can do about it. Can you think of anything you have changed on your computer since the last time you uploaded? Especially things like installing or updating media players. Winamp is a piece of shit btw, the problem might very well be caused by it. It messes with stuff in Windows it should not mess with. Some people could fix their uploads by uninstalling winamp installing VLC media player making VLC media player the default player for MP3 files or you could try Windows Media Player instead of VLC. This does not work in all cases though, uninstalling winamp does not magically 'repair' your system unfortunately. It seems that installing VLC fixes the stuff that has been broken by winamp. If you want to keep winamp: Make sure you update everything. The updates for windows XP Service Pack 2 fix a couple of MIME bugs. (see here) Try updating to Internet Explorer 7 too, since IE6 is now outdated. You could also try to use a different browser, especially Firefox since the MIME checks in the upload page have been relaxed for firefox (necessary because of a bug in the handling of mp3 uploads in FF).
