      easy all,
can anyone tell me how i can make the wobble basslines as featured in tracks such as " taxman...too bad" or "mickey finn +magistrate.. killing game" just a couple of examples, i suspect its somthing to do with lfos, but ive tried and dont get close, either too fast or too slow, also any ideas on the tone of the bass itself, it sounds like a stretched sub, i got close to the tone of the bass on lockdown, but cant remember what i used or what settings as ive lost all the project files.
basiccally i wanna bend my basslines like putty, come on people get me wobbleing

cheers

not into wobbles.. but I made one wobbly track for that Suryas remix compo lol..

I made the wobble by using a simple unprocessed C3 virus bass sample by adding a sine 3/4 LFO filter on it with quite a bit of resonance on it, did a harsh notch of the unwanted frequencies which the resonance made, then distorted it and boosted the notched frequencies just a bit

you should try to reverse basses or bassstabs, it can just give the wobble effect you want

that's the way
and if u use the fruity channel one u can even set it at a number of steps, so it wont wobble out of rythm

In some tracks you can hear the wobble speed up or slow down which gives a real organic feel to the bass, is this done through automation or is there an other trick?

In fruity, try setting an automation clip on the cut-off frequency of fruity filter. When you get your automation clip window up click the icon in top left and go to tools, select lfo and a box will come up with lfo automation. If you right click the speed button you can choose the amount of steps to start and end with. pretty cool.
