I didn't take such lessons, and I learned the whole thing by myself. When you learn all by yourself, you tend to be more helpful towards others as you feel their pain which you had while you were in the learning phase.

If you need a major help, visit this thread: Tutorials / Knowledge base thread (read all production related informations here!)

BTW welcome!

Definately agree. I think that its really important to learn a lot of stuff for yourself because you'll find your own way of doing things. Everyone has their own little techniques but they might not make sense to you. If you work things out forn yourself you'll also devolope a method which works well for you. I also think that taking lessons in anything can seriously damage your passion for the subject. When finding things out for yourself its fun, but when your taugh something, no matter how interested you are, it ends up feelng like a chore.

theyre more or less production schools rather than lessons... aka audio engineering school...

engineering school will deffintiely help you but more in the mixdown hence "engineering" aspect of producing...

the rest is up to you... a lot of schools will teach you the way around protools, cubase, logic, etc, but they wont teach you to be creative...Smile thats for you to do... and like said above...people all have their own techniques, twists, etc here and there... so its up to you to develope your own production style Big Grin

I don't believe any lesson will actually teach you to make music, if you see it as pain and not as fun from the begining just do something else in my oppinion. It's not just about the music you create in the end, but the whole creative process is important.
