hI folks, i have just made a 4th attempt at dnb, just using different drum techniques,
http://www.myspace.com/cyborgevolution
The song is called "Infusion"
It does sound like it needs eqing, lol but that another thing i need a learn.
This time i used a break from the jungle warfar CD and a very old old 70 s break which i chopped up and manipulated layered on my own beats.
Feedback welcome
regards
MJ

hi mate, the first thing that hits me is the beats youve layerd are pretty much out of time, everything seems to be out of sync.
the bass is quite warm and fat, and suits the laidback feel to the track, what software you using to sequence?, zoom right in to your chopped loop and make sure everything lines up correctly.
keep at it mate, youll be learning all the time, this is how youll progress by your mistakes, just think of them as lessons, nice one mate,
jem.

if your using the breaks as audio clips chopped up, first make sure youve got your loops at the correct bpm, sounds like you have , then on your arrange page, zoom right into the audio files, its usually eaisier if youve got a good constant beat to reference from on the page if you know what i mean, turn off the snap to bar, and move your chopped files so that the start of the beats line up with one another. keep at it, im just delving into this myself, and you can get some pretty funky patterns going on.
have fun
