in acid, you turn the break into a one shot sample and then shift the b.p.m. until it matches up. if you don't like the tempo you're at after that, pitch up the one shot and match with the bpm again to have it faster. do the opposite, pitch it down, to make it slower. i hope you understand what i'm talking about...and that helps you with at least one of the programs listed.

if youre using cubase, and fruity, for fruity id say use wavlab and choping up the breaks yourself from scratch... but for cubase, load your breaks up in kontakt, or battery2

or u could load into fruity sampler and it wil be sliced ready to go. mabye some minor ajustments
then u can take the 1shots from the break and load them into new chanels and then make ur break.

nah teh slicer sucks...if youre gonna do dhtat, do what i said about choping each one shot, and programing them seperately, then send each sample to diff mastering channels so you can eq each individual hit...It takes longer but you have full controll that way

I'm what way? If you just want to load a break into it and take one shots out it's good imo, far quicker and easier than opening other programmes etc..

quick and easy, but it doesn't get in-depth enough for me...for example, if one of the slices is clipping on the edges, i can't fade them in fruity, but i can in acid...

Also, if you load the sample as an audio clip into fl studio, it has an auto detect tempo which is very accurate.
But Dr.Rex all the way in reason, it does everything for ya!
