this question has been bugging me for a while:
When you render in fruity loops, and you are chosing your quality, you get the following options:

LINEAR
6 POINT HERMITE
SINC DEPTH 64
SINC DEPTH 128
SINC DEPTH 256

I just wanna know what the difference is. I mean obviously the quality increases as you get further down, but i wanna know what the actual difference between tham is. It's not really that inportant, but i just curious. Confused

A mastering engineer could probably tell you.

As for me, I rendered "Gull Liver's Travels" in 6-Point Hermite because Sinc Depth 256 was giving my computer trouble. Nobody seemed to notice. Big Grin

I'll try rendering my next one in SD 256 again since I know that when one of those access violations comes up, it doesn't affect the final output in FL Studio.

Then again, if one of my tracks gets signed and I've actually gotta get it ready for release, SD 256 all the way.*
