Didn't know where to post this, but i guess this is the place. For a while i have been wanting to remix the following songs, but i can't find the samples to do it. I know it's unlikely, but if anyone by some chance knows where i can get the stuff i need, please let me know! Here are the songs:

1.Live and let die
2.Neighbours theme tune
3.Danger mouse theme tune
4.Something well 80's like it's raining men or lady in red
5.tweenies or sesame street theme tune
6.the A team theme tune
7.Byker Grove theme(u probably never heard of this unless u are from uk)
8.Anything else that would never be considered for a d'n'b remix

I know lot's of these songs are really pussy, but that's the idea, i wanna make them really really filthy and fucked up.
P.S. i am not really expecting many replies.

I don't know where to find samples for these, but I would suggest, for the themes at least, to just take your own sounds and play the melodies from the themes. As a matter of fact, I'm working on a track, based on the theme from the movie Alien. I've played the melodie with some hover now, and altho it's basically the same melody, I don't think anyone would recognise it
But it works as a tune

That sounds like a good suggestion. However, i don't know any music theory. Do you you reckon i could them in chord format of some site? I know it's lame, but i find it really hard to immitate music, but i'll give it a try.
Thanks guys

Oh yeah, can't wait to hear your alien song, Surya!
I've got the "Get away from her you bitch!" sample somewhere. I think it's got some backround though.

P.S. If i managed to get the synth line right, how do i get the lyrics off the song. I heard you can do it by reversing the phase. But for that you need an instrumental version of the song. Do you people have any ideas?

some sound editors such as wavelab have a vocal remover, use that one first & than "subtract" the result from the original, simple as that. Must warn u that those vocal removers don't always work on high voices, maybe some tweaking knobs? if anyone knows, post it please!

You can find a lot of acapellas, but they are hard to find sometimes, but I'd give it a shot if I were you.

About the shifting the phase: works only if your instruments don't have a wide stereo image, and the vocal does, and then it still sucks, mostly.
And the vocal remover trick: most of them vocal remover filters either filter half of your instuments too, or leave half the voice.

But you could try it offcourse.

How about singing it yourself?

Shouldn't sound too bad if you vocode

Also vocoding!
Sorry dude, i learnt everything through experimentation, so know very limited terms.
 |

With vocoding, you use a special machine to mix vocals and intruments to make it sound like the synth is actually singing.

Congratulations, Surya - you just tripped upon my modus operandi as of late.

The hook for my next one isn't so obvious, but I'll let you all know that the boss music in Mega Man X3 inspired it.

As you can see by my avatar, I'm a big Mega Man fan, especially the NES series.
