Think it's time for some extra info on the artists
DJ Hidden:
Messing around with tape recorders and turn tables at a very early age, playing various instruments but never wanting to practice, typing in thousands of peeks and pokes to produce the most horrible 4-bit sounds, borrowing friend's computers to run now ancient audio software, dubbing alternative music under existing videos and throwing gigs with home stereos.
A childhood filled with experimentation led to the first serious demos in 1995.
The tapes were picked up by two labels: Mokum and Coolman. Teaming up with partner in crime Eye-D, as "X-Factor" and "The Outside Agency", the first records were put out a year later. Both releases were quite successful and resulted in more labels becoming interested in the duo's music. With hardcore taking a happy detour, other genres were thoroughly explored, resulting in various joined and solo projects. A semi-experimental breakbeat release under the alias "The E.L.F. Architect", released on Medcom, saw the light of day. Together with the rest of the "Beats op Je Fiets Crew" the now classic "We Eat Tulips for Breakfast" was unleashed on an unsuspecting drum and bass crowd, still recovering from the ragga curse that had been keeping the genre firmly in its grip until then.
From that moment on, DJ Hidden's prime focus shifted more and more in the direction of drum and bass. Although hardcore was never completely deserted, distorted breakbeats became the main ingredients in his work. Further adventures onto this continent of musical darkness produced records for labels such as Fear, Theoretic, Semiconscious Media and Ruff-teck.
Nowadays, DJ Hidden does both artwork and music for most of the labels he's involved with. He also runs Genosha Recordings together with Eye-D. Regardless of how many subgenres get invented, he considers his material "music" and leaves it up to others to decide where they'd prefer to put it. Apart from writing tracks, he spends most of his time working on anything that allows him to be creative... and as far as he's concerned, he'll continue to do so for the rest of his life.
You can expect a mix of DnB & Hardcore beats from this guy. If you like hard banging sickness, he's your bear!
Then we have D-Convict. He'll be bringing the old skool rave sound back again in a 2 hour set! If you didn't see this before, you better don't miss this one, the crazy fuck
We'll (Jett & Vendetta) be doing our own thing at the end of the evening with first some heavy dnb and then moving on to hardcore & some breakcore
The warm up of the evening is Deadend. They'll lead you into the dark starting from the steppers.
Neway, to make a long story short: Be there or be "you know what"
Only 3 weeks to go!
