hi , take a listen to this ive got in progress, http://www.demostreams.com/?ID=jemone any advice or crits welcome and would be a great help, i know it a bit more laid back then most the headz here prefer, one problem im getting is the bass if i turn it up it sounds distorted, if i turn it down it dissapears, i really struggle with eq, dont really understand it yet, but have a mess. ive put the track through t racks, its sounds ok my end but not to good in places on the stream imo.
cheers enjoy.
peace

yeah eq will be the death of me someday,.im horrible at it so i won't get into it.....track sounds heavy duty old school!,...diggin that big time,..don't hear enough producer's crankin the old....anyway some great sounds all over this,..nice deep synths goin down,..only thing is some of the break cutting imo,..is a bit rigid sounding at parts,.theres no clock,..can't point it where,...but its only a couple parts,..nothin to worry bout,..Structure seem's well thought out,..didn't get bored once...track flow's,..nice mellow vibes you be slappin me with Jemone,..totally diggged,.. eq is not all that hard ; compressin is Big Grin
anywayz
track indeed has that oldschool touch (for the eq part u could start by takin some of the low freq on ur cymbal away Wink )
aight beein honest as always u for sure should keep going in this genre m8 but i think u should try an aim for some more poundin an original shit
(i'm gettin the "been there done that feelin on this one a bit Wink )
the skillz iz there jus' work out a nice style an mess around with the eq'in Bigup

I don't agree. EQ is much harder, coz doing EQ really good results in not needing compression in a lot of cases!
