Just got an idea, since I think one does not need to rip-off old soul records in order to get a decent rolling break. Just mess around with FL studio which I find really handy for this purpose.

Why not share your homemade break Drummer

with others and get feedback on it?

few rules:
- If you use a sequence of hits out of some other drumline you are out.

- To avoid DnB.be getting overloaded from it, donate for a new server or use a free service like megaupload or yousendit link or - if the file is 20k or less - post it as an attachment.

- You may use a low bitrate if you want to avoid that others would run off with your break, but don't overdo it, it should still be audible.

Admins: if you don't like my idea, throw way the thread, I won't get upset Smile

you're free to use this break if you want to, it's just an example of my simpler patterns, and i don't really feel attachment to it.

if anybody has any questions on my technique ask away...this one is 100% FL-produced, with no third-party effects except for my compressor.

and also, i'd like to see if you enjoy this one, rate.

Nice to see that someone likes the idea...
I almost gave up on this though, I know it's hard to do it all by yourself and it seems that most people are just ripping off other breaks...

OK, here's one from me.

Might sound too crisp though (made during a trainride on my laptop)

@Darkside: That's a cool break, one shots all sound crisp and eqing is cool, could use some more rollin' though. Maybe a second snare which is more Ghost-like?

when you render, put Cut Remainder on, then the remaining reverb gets cut off, and you can loop it
