these things are both possible : just set the main snap to what u want it to be at for the piano roll ; an put the one in the playlist to anything but main Wink
as for the automation data ; just clone the pattern in the playlist Big Grin

I wouldn't worry too much, the people making the free versions are usually very creative in making new ones...

The idea was that after copying you could then change a few small things without having to redo all the automation data

This is actually not the beta FL Studio 7, but beta of the FL Studio 6.4. I did read something about this one, and it's great. And those pattern automation clips... amazing. Finally something worth to wait for.

I can't allow myself to deal with new installations right now, but will give a shot. In any case, the beta 6.4 is already expired (according to FL Studio creators).

click file > save with backup
select location to save...--> eg, c:\mymusic\

saves a sub dir of your song title/file name

c:\mymusic\track1\

creates

c:\mymusic\track1\track1.fl

also automatically copies all samples /loops etc used to this dir
c:\mymusic\track1\

-are you sure you want to backup?
yes , no
tick box (do not ask again)

duplicates this
c:\mymusic\track1\

to
d:\mymusic\track1\
e:\mymusic\track1\
f:\mymusic\track1\
g:\mymusic\track1\ (failed, can not write) <--- cd rom drive direct burn has not been setup...

[popup] would you like to hide all cd rom devices from FL7 backup option (you can change this again in options)

simple as that, just if your pc stuffs up..
you have SPARES!! not saying all your guys pcs are unreliable but think of the pain one would go through... if your work goes missing.. specially when you have a show next week.
