mostly the original beat was humanized while yours is quantized
the easiest thing you can do is chop the vocal with Recycle or something into snips and fit them as you like.

Yeah, as Cynik said, your problem is that if the vocals are recorded over a live band, the likelyhood is that they arent gonna be exactly in time, since humans arent metronomes. If you then try to play this over a totaly in time computer, after a while the 2 will have gone out of sync. Your best bet would be to work with smaller chunks of the vocal. If you chop it up into 4 bar lengths or so (make sure your editing is spot on) and trigger the next section at the begining of the bar. This way youre never giving enough time for the 2 to get out of sync with each other.

maybe u cut ur sample wrong?
if u cut em at a number of bars wich u can easely fit into your track, it isnt to difficult..
eg if u have a hiphop-track at 80 bpm and u cut exactly 64 bars of the vocal u can easely fit em into 128 bars at 175 without the pitch getting messed up

yeah man i really like keeping acapellas at thier original speed, like soul tracks at 115 can fit into thirds real nice at 172.
heres the calculation:
172 \ 3 * 2 =114.666
of course pitch em up or down a bit if necessary

The vocal can be off the rhythm, but not too much and not for a long time as the drummer will take care of that. The vocalist shall lead the drummer, thus will fix him/herself if he/she made a mistake.
You can use this technique:
open your vocal sample in winamp or something (some media player)
play the sample
open FL
right-click the rhytm selector and select [Tap]
hit each time with your mouse button where/when you think the tempo hit is in the vocal sample
most precise results after 10-15 hits. practise

well, no wonder. jazz has specific grooves/shuffle, often changing intesity and/or speed in-tune.. thus being very hard to remake using sequencers..
I'd use a method involving finding a midi file of a specific track (if there is any and chances are you would google out something) and using the midi track to trigger sampled parts (previously sliced in a wave editor). or even re-playing some of the sounds with own instruments using the midi track. a tough job either way
